Our story

The idea for Cancer Platform was born of a collective desire from our founders, Prof. Sir Chris Evans and Dr Rajan Jethwa, to revolutionise the cancer landscape. To fix a broken system and allow everyone to navigate cancer with confidence, empowered by information, and bolstered by accessible, irrefutable, scientific fact. It was an idea they had to change lives, and to save lives.  

Through their prior experience building their cancer drug development company, Ellipses, Prof. Sir Chris and Rajan had begun to identify the many missing parts in a person’s cancer journey. They had seen first hand how difficult it was for people to understand their diagnosis and their options. How hard it was to access information on clinical trials, or other treatment options better suited to their genomics. They began to explore the idea of a tool that could help everyone to navigate cancer, better and from this, the vision for a Cancer Platform was born.

In 2023, enthused by the similarities in Cancer Platform’s vision and that of his own family foundation (Seerave Foundation), David Rees entered into a partnership that would see collaboration on the platform’s development. David was particularly inspired by the potential to personalise every individual’s cancer journey and treatment through the tool and proudly became a Founder of Cancer Awareness Trust.
