Vicky Dowdall joins Evamore Records as Executive Director

Vicky Dowdall, Founder of VDM Music and consultant at Talent Everywhere has joined us as Executive Director of our non-profit record label, Evamore Records. Twice-nominated Manager of The Year at the prestigious Music Week Awards, plus a Roll of Honour Inductee at The Women In Music Awards, Dowdall is known for her blend of expertise, tenacity and creativity, steering the careers of artists like Ella Henderson and Nina Nesbitt to great success.

Evamore Records has a simple vision to use the power of music to generate both awareness of and funds for, Cancer Awareness Trust to better support those impacted by cancer. 

Dowdall, who is a Music Managers Forum Board Member, brings her unique expertise as a manager as well as her ability to nurture talent and artistic expression to the role, in addition to her all-female team who join her. 

Dowdall will work closely with Rob Hallet, the Executive Director of Evamore Records Presents. Dowdall and her team will focus on the label's overall strategy and how we’ll work with talent to achieve its mission. They will also be tasked with delivering an initial Evamore Records album.

As a mother of two, Dowdall champions work-life balance for women in the music industry, advocating for equality, diversity, fair pay and mental health. Starting her journey as an artist endorsed by Pete Waterman and Tracy Bennett, Dowdall rose to become a director at Redbus Music by age 21. Inspired by her own experiences, Dowdall aims to be the supportive manager she once wished for.

Under Dowdall's guidance, Ella Henderson's career has seen a remarkable resurgence, namely a new deal with Atlantic Records which has led to nine Top 10 singles, a Top 10 album, and numerous Platinum certifications. Similarly, Dowdall's management of Nina Nesbitt has propelled her to over a billion streams, stadium shows with Coldplay, international collaborations and recognition from Taylor Swift. 

Dowdall's new wave of artists includes Olivia Sebastianelli, co-writer of Purple Disco Machine's Platinum-certified hit "In The Dark," Cody Frost, supported by Radio 1 and BBC Introducing and collaborating with Enter Shikari on a chart-topping album. Dowdall's approach to artist development focuses on reigniting careers, nurturing long-term talent, and providing platforms for artistic expression.
