Cancer Platform collaborates on mission to transform cancer outcomes for all

The Cancer Awareness Trust is excited to announce our latest collaboration, with the Zhu Family Center for Global Cancer Prevention at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (“Zhu Center”).

The interdisciplinary Zhu Center is dedicated to education, training, and research relevant to primary cancer prevention (including lifestyle and behaviour modifications), secondary cancer prevention (including screening and early detection), and tertiary cancer prevention (including cancer survivorship and disease monitoring).

The Zhu Center’s mission is to support research that develops and implements novel methods, technologies, and tools to further the translation of this work into clinical and public health practice. By forming cross-collaborative relationships among researchers, physicians, thought- leaders, pharma, academic collaborators, philanthropists, technology companies, and innovators, they strive to accelerate progress within the field and optimize the pathways of care. Which is exactly why this collaboration has been formed.

Together we’ll develop the areas of the platform which focus on nutrition, misinformation, and action- research which underpins how we develop numerous aspects of the platform, ensuring measurably improved outcomes for everyone affected by cancer. Work is already underway to explore how the Cancer Fact Finder tool can underpin the platform's approach to misinformation and how chefs around the world can engage in greater education on nutrition as a preventative tool for cancer, and an aid when living with cancer.

Professor Sir Chris Evans, Founder of The Cancer Awareness Trust said of the collaboration, “To have the Zhu Center join us in making Cancer Platform happen is a tremendous boost to our progress and will strengthen our ability to deliver on our promise of quick and easy access to trusted information at every stage of the cancer journey. I am delighted to be collaborating with them”.

Further updates on the collaboration will be shared on our website and social media channels in the coming weeks and months.
