Paul Thandi CBE DL becomes a Founding Patron of the Cancer Awareness Trust

Birmingham and the West Midlands continues to show and grow its support of our plans. Professor Sir Chris Evans is delighted to welcome Paul Thandi CBE as our latest Founding Patron.

Paul Thandi CBE is the CEO of the NEC Group, one of the world’s leading venue management companies. He’s also an investor, philanthropist, mentor, advisor, and experienced Board Director, sitting on the boards of Metro Bank, the West Midlands Growth Company and leads his own family office focussing on investments in property, biotech, entertainment, media, tech, and medical sectors. Paul is also Patron of Marie Curie and Best Beginnings whilst also sitting on the Advisory Board of Bowel Cancer UK!

Paul will bring his extensive expertise and energy to the task Sir Chris and the team face in developing the long-term sustainable business model of the platform, keeping it free for those who need it, ensuring a strong foundation that is backed by world-leading experts and partners across all sectors, to enable us to reach everyone affected by cancer.
