Andreas Antona joins The Cancer Awareness Trust as a Founding Patron

Andreas Antona, the multi-award winning chef, restaurateur and owner of Simpsons in Birmingham, joins as a Founding Patron.

Simpsons and Andreas are legends in the hospitality industry and combine that with Andreas’ personal experience of cancer and we have a brilliant opportunity to collaborate on the information around food, diet, nutrition that will play a crucial role in the full offer of The Cancer Platform.

“It’s a real honour to join Sir Chris and his team to make sure The Cancer Platform transforms the outcomes for everyone affected by cancer. My own journey with cancer made me question everything we know about the disease. It also made me consider what we can do in the hospitality industry, and how we can bring cancer specialists, nutritionists and chefs together to look at how we can make a bigger impact together. I’m excited to work with them to help make a real difference”. Andreas Antona

“Andreas made such an impact at one of our events earlier this year by not only sharing his experience with cancer, but by talking about the opportunities there are to do much better by bringing chefs and the medical profession together, to support everyone, not just those affected by cancer, to really understand what impact the food they eat can have on their cancer journey and general health. Together we’ll tackle that challenge, and bring others with us on this journey. - whilst having the occasionally exquisite treat at Simpsons!” Tony Colville, The Cancer Awareness Trust
